A Timely Tea
This year’s Ladies Tea at Monaca UMC blended a love of art with a love of country!
Members of Beaver Valley Artists presented a beautiful art show, and Vera Lovewell painted a large backdrop for the event, inspired by Van Gogh’s The Starry Night.
As the audience watched and sang along, Dee Ruckert from Pastel Presentations created a pastel that incorporated symbols from a series of patriotic songs. Dee selected the theme based on America’s 250th anniversary celebration taking place this year.
Thank you to everyone who attended, who showed art, who helped to set up and/or clean up, and who contributed in any other way — with special thanks to Vera Lovewell and Tina Allen for all of their time and effort in putting together another fabulous event!
We hope to see everyone again next year!

Congratulations to Mary Corless (r.) for winning Dee Ruckert’s completed pastel as a door prize!

Tina Allen takes a much-deserved break after working alongside her kids, Ralph and Ella, and
