Blue Christmas Program Offers Hope, Peace

Attend this program and feel the weight of your concerns lifted!

Also known as a “Quiet Christmas” service, Monaca UMC’s Blue Christmas program is a great opportunity for self-care during the busy holiday season.

Pastor Jim Sands will lead the service and give the homily, and Norma Coast will provide soft music on the piano.

The program will also feature special music by Pastor David Vaughn. All in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in a candle-lighting ceremony, giving our concerns to God and seeking hope in Jesus Christ.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest for your souls.

-Matthew 11:28-29

This is an ecumenical service, so feel free to invite family and friends from other faith traditions. Those in attendance will include people from different church denominations, as well as people with little or no church experience.

Dress is casual. Light refreshments will be offered immediately following the service, and clergy will be available for discussion and individual prayer.

If you have any questions, please call the church office at (724) 775-6702 or email info@monacachurch.org.
