Find Living Water at MUMC’s Water Festival

On Saturday, August 24th from 11am to 4pm, come celebrate the gift of water at a fun and lively water festival!

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

-John 4:13-14

Water is important to our physical planet (more than 70% of the earth is water) and to our bodies, which are 60% water on average. Referenced in the Bible more than 700 times, water is also central to many Bible stories, including:

  • Creation
  • Noah’s Ark
  • Moses and the Red Sea
  • Jonah and the Whale
  • The Baptism of Jesus
  • Walking on Water
  • Jesus Calms the Sea
  • The Woman at the Well
  • Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet

At the Water Festival, there will be plenty to do for all ages. In addition to several water- and Biblically-themed games, enjoy a craft* station, photo op, bake sale, and concession stand. And, yes, there will be non-wet options for those who prefer to only be touched by the “living water.”

If you are willing to help with the festival in any way, please look for sign-up sheets in our lobby, or contact Vera Lovewell at (610) 462-5195.

*We will be collecting tall Pringles cans for one of the crafts. Look for a designated box in the church lobby. Thank you!
