Food Pantry Fun

You never know what kind of fun and surprises are in store during Monaca UMC’s food pantry days!

The 25 families who participated in the December food pantry were very appreciative for all they received:

• A jar of bean soup – prepared by the kids in Sunday School under the direction of Jen Hamner
• An apple pie – made by the church’s “holy rollers” under the direction of Gretchen Harich
• An Aldi’s gift card – purchased with monetary offerings and donations made to Monaca UMC
• Grocery items – provided through donated food and monetary contributions

Special thanks to Vicki Kane and Eileen Tritt for coordinating the monthly food pantry distributions; to all of our food pantry patrons for your trust and friendship; to the volunteers who help prepare for and assist on distribution days; to Pastor Jim and Clay Beringer for carrying out the bags to our patrons’ cars in December; and to everyone who contributes funds, food, and/or special treats and gifts for our patrons.
