Lenten Luncheons Unite the Community

Thank you to all of the churches, speakers, and guests who participated in this year’s Community Lenten Luncheons, with special thanks to the many different volunteers who prepared and served meals for those in attendance!

An average of 100 people enjoyed a light lunch and an insightful devotion each week, which were provided by First Presbyterian Church of Monaca (Rev. Bob Saul), Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church (Rev. Angela Smith), St. John the Baptist, Mary, Queen of Saints Parish (Deacon Bob Bittner), and Monacrest Free Methodist Church (Rev. Collene Carney), in addition to Monaca UMC (Rev. Jim Sands).

Goodwill offerings received at the luncheons are being directed to Monaca UMC’s food pantry to feed additional members of the community. We are grateful for the contributions!

Monaca UMC is honored that we could serve as this year’s host and help bring the community together for a time of fellowship and spiritual growth. We are already looking forward to next year’s event!
