Spreading Some SONshine!

We, as a church family, are called to care for one another both in times of joy and in times of trouble. We celebrate together, and we support each other in times of need.

With that in mind, the Ministry Action Team is establishing a committee to build upon the wonderful work that Monaca UMC’s Lay Leader, Mary Corless, has been doing for the church for years—showing care and concern for church family in the form of such things as sending cards, making phone calls, and providing meals and visits.

This new committee—called the SONshine Club—is to be a willing, caring group of people who are interested in ministering to our church family through:

• Welcome gifts for visitors or new members
• Christmas gifts for the children
• Hospital visitation bags
• Additional greeting cards and phone calls

If you have a flair for hospitality or the spiritual gift of mercy, faith, or helping, this is the group for you!

The first meeting of the SONshine Club is planned for Monday, September 22^nd at 1pm in the church overflow room. If you are interested in participating but cannot attend, please contact Vera at (610) 462-5195.
