VBS Shines a Light on Jesus

One of the brightest weeks of the year at Monaca UMC is Vacation Bible School. Check out our slide show from this year’s event, which ran June 15th through June 19th.

This year’s theme was Illumination Station. The kids had a blast with lessons, games, crafts, skits, and music that shined a light on who Jesus really is! An average of 25 children and teens were in attendance each day.

As a mission project, our group collected items for the church food pantry and raised money for Communicycle. Communicycle’s Lee Montanari was kind enough to speak about his worthy cause during the wrap-up party on June 19th.

In addition to Mr. Montanari, we thank everyone who volunteered at the different stations throughout the week, helped to get the word out, donated supplies, decorated, acted in the skits, helped with the wrap-up party, and those who served as part of the clean-up crew after everything was all said and done!

It takes a lot of people to pull off such a large-scale event, and through it all was our faithful leader, Jennifer Hamner! Thank you, Jennifer!
