VBS Shines a Light on Jesus

One of the brightest weeks of the year at Monaca UMC is Vacation Bible School. Check out our slide show from this year’s event, which ran June 15–19.

This year’s theme was Illumination Station. The kids had a blast with lessons, games, crafts, skits, and music that shined a light on who Jesus really is!

Our group collected items for Monaca UMC’s food pantry and money for Communicycle as this year’s mission project. Lee Montanari from Communicycle was kind enough to speak about this worthy cause.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered at the different stations throughout the week, helped to get the word out, donated supplies, decorated, acted in the skits, helped with Friday’s wrap-up party / family day, and those who served as part of the clean-up crew after everything was all said and done! It takes a lot of people to pull off such a large-scale event, and through it all was our faithful leader, Jennifer Hamner! We also thank Lee Montanari from Communicycle for coming to our wrap-up party / family day to speak about this worthy cause.
